- Entry Fee: $25
- All fees are nonrefundable.
- The Colorado Flute Artist Competition is open to flutists of all ages.
- All entrants must attend the Summer Flute Institute @ MSU Denver.
- First, Second, and Third Place Prize Winners (and their pianists) must also be available to perform on July 10, 2019 at the Summer Flute Institute @ MSU Denver’s Winners Recital.
- All competitors will perform with SFI Staff Accompanists for the competition and recital.
- Complete the online registration forms at summerfluteinstitue.com by May 1, 2019 (midnight PST) deadline.
- Repertoire Requirements: Choose one of the following: Icicle by Robert Aitken, 3rd mmt. of Concerto for Piccolo by Lowell Leiberman or The Great Train Race by Ian Clarke and one piece of up to 5 minutes in length of the performer’s choosing.
- All participants must supply the competition jury an original score for the piece of their choosing.
- Considerations of musical and artistic development in relation to performer’s age and experience level will be made by the competition jury.
